8.14.08  WizWheelz/Terra Trike

Dear John

It has come to our attention that we have an area of concern regarding the Trike Transporters.  When a customer uses the Trike Transporter hitch rack without removing the trike seat (which we strongly discourage) a significant amount of air is caught by the seat mesh to the point that it acts as a parachute.  This not only significantly reduces the vehicle’s gas mileage, but also, at highway speeds, creates undue forces on the cradles and straps of the hitch rack.  Although we have only had one actual failure in the hundreds that we have sold, we want to be proactive in addressing this issue.  Attached you will find a PDF that explains what the new cradle assembly looks like as well as the “redundant” Velcro strap that aids in making a stable carrying device.  You will want to show or e-mail this document to your customers who have purchased the Trike Transporter hitch racks.  Some of the more recent Transporters have the new cradle assemblies but do not have the Velcro straps.  In that case, the customer only needs the straps.  Have them contact us and we will send out the new parts free of charge.  Thank you in advance for contacting your customers in a timely manner and for your dedication to our line of fine products.
